Office Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging (sonography) is a method of obtaining images from inside the human body using high frequency sound waves. The reflected sound wave echoes are recorded and displayed as a real-time visual image. No ionizing radiation (x-ray) is involved in ultrasound imaging. Ultrasound is a useful way of examining many of the body’s internal organs.

At West Coast Urology, our in-house ultrasound technician performs ultrasound imaging for urological purposes. We have the capability for ultrasound examination of the kidneys, bladder, prostate, testes, and penile doppler ultrasound for evaluation of erectile dysfunction and penile anomalies. Our doctors are specially trained and certified in the interpretation of urologic ultrasound imaging.

If necessary, we do provide discounted cash pricing for urologic ultrasound in the office.
